Welcome to Scent Adventure Training, operated by Coastal Tails. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your participation in our online and in-person courses, events, and community spaces.

By accessing or enrolling in our training, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

To participate, you must be:

  • At least 16 years old (or supervised by an adult if under 18)

  • The handler or legal guardian of the dog(s) involved

  • Responsible for ensuring your dog is physically and behaviorally suitable for outdoor and scent-based activities

2. Enrolment & Access

Upon purchase or registration:

  • You’ll receive access to relevant course materials and community spaces (e.g., Podia, WhatsApp).

  • Course access is intended for the registered participant only—please do not share content externally.

3. Course Participation

By enrolling, you agree to:

  • Actively participate in the training, including completing assignments, sharing videos, or contributing to group discussions where applicable

  • Treat fellow participants, instructors, and dogs with kindness and respect

  • Keep all training methods and proprietary materials confidential

  • Refrain from sharing or distributing course materials, including scent pairing methods, lesson structure, or downloadable content

4. Payment & Refund Policy

  • All course purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for change of mind or partial participation.

  • If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact us to discuss options.

5. Safety & Responsibility

You are fully responsible for:

  • The safety and behavior of your dog at all times

  • Choosing appropriate environments to practice based on your dog’s temperament and training level

  • Following safety guidelines outlined in the course materials

We are not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from your participation, including during in-person events or use of recommended equipment.

6. Intellectual Property

All course content, including videos, handouts, lesson plans, scent games, badge systems, and training strategies, are the intellectual property of Coastal Tails and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

7. Community Standards

Participants in our forums or WhatsApp groups must:

  • Engage respectfully

  • Keep discussions on-topic (training, progress, challenges)

  • Not share screenshots or content from the group externally

We reserve the right to remove anyone from the program or community who breaches these expectations.

8. Changes to Services

We may occasionally update or modify the course content, schedule, or structure to improve your learning experience. Any major changes will be communicated clearly.

9. Disclaimer

Training results vary based on each dog, handler, and environment. Our methods are based on science and real-world experience, but success depends on consistent practice. We do not guarantee specific outcomes.
